I wanted this to get into Ubuntu by a certain date, and with Curan's announcement in comment #73 that it's going into Debian unstable, there's a good chance it will be picked up.
Oh, that is a sad misunderstanding: I'm not part of the maintainer team of Wine in Debian (even though I maintain packages for Debian). Therefore my packages for Sid (Unstable) are unofficial and will never enter Debian's archives. The next official Debian package is held up by gcc-mingw32, see http://bugs.debian.org/557783#35. So my packages are primarily for my own consumption (and based on the last official package, with the changes documented in debian/changelog) or other interested parties.
In any case: thank you very much for your work! I'll do another round of (unofficial) packages.
