--- Comment #104 from detructor15 steffen.linux@gmx.de 2008-06-28 12:18:21 --- ok...does steam login to steam friends on startup or do you login yourself by clicking the button to login? I'm using the autologin...maybe there is a difference at some point?
--- Comment #105 from detructor15 steffen.linux@gmx.de 2008-06-28 13:20:02 --- ok I've tested some things and detected the following: I'm starting the Steam client and it logs in to Steam friends on startup.
Then, I opened Steam Friends list, and double clicked on contact...then I have send one message and it appeared in the chat window. After this, I've typed a second message and noticed a little hangup (no characters appeared on the screen and the steam client was unresponsive) after this (maybe 1 to 2 seconds) the characters I've typed appeared in the typing field...then I pressed enter and the message was send but nothing appeared in the Steam Friends window...even in the terminal there was nothing...so, whatever happened in these 2 seconds, it makes the steam friends not working again...
--- Comment #106 from Armada jules.blok@gmail.com 2008-06-28 16:20:09 --- You just triggered something to make the screen refresh, the most easy way to trigger such a refresh is to resize the steam friends window.
