When using Wineskin to install Black Ops from the DVD drive, the setup.exe file
continuously crashes, saying that "The program install.exe has encountered a
serious problem and needs to close."

Im not sure whats is wrong, i am following the tutorial to the step and he
seems to have no issues.

Hi, Wineskin is not supported here. Please use the latest wine 1.5.12 and
attach a log as seen in http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log

No feedback since opening the bug. Both bugs are about wineskin.

Do you see a point keeping this open at current form?
