- Start an unregistered (shareware) Total Commander: now you have the main window and the "please register" window. - Ctrl Alt Right, Ctrl Alt Left: notice the main window is mainly black (see attached screenshot). - Close the shareware window by pressing 1, 2 or 3: notice the main TC window is still unresponsive, and still looks dead. - Ctrl Alt Right, Ctrl Alt Left: notice the main TC window works properly.

The same happens when the following windows are open (and you switch workspaces): - FTP Connect (Ctrl F) - FTP New Connection (Ctrl N) - "No files selected!" (in a panel, go over "..", press Enter twice, press F5)

It does NOT happen with: - File Copy (F5)

The main window should not become unresponsive..

Seems similar to bug 9579, but it only happens when there is another window opened by TC (but not just any window opened by TC, for example not the F5 window).

1. Confirming, please consider UNCONFIRMED->NEW and KEYWORDS: +REGRESSION, +DOWNLOAD

2. I did a regression test between 1.1.2 and 1.1.3:

3. There are another bug reports suffering from this commit, see bug 21861 and bug 15069.

4. Revert of this patch after git checkout makes that problem go away. Probably (not tested) based on bug 21861 after reverting on top of 1.1.42 following two commits it will work again even on 1.1.42: * 4a69797c43166699e7fbe70e6a7de4abd9521af8 * 8d77c375b27adc490d24d7593769f4e149d4102c
