Running it using Eurobattle.net Loader application: http://eurobattle.net/showthread.php?t=95077

I know you will write that you do not support not POL, nor Loader, but still - it is definetly issue in Wine, not in these two applications ;)

I can have a look in cca 10hours. I own this game legally so no need for Eurobattle.net or PlayOnLinux or whathever;) Even i doubt it has much to do with the problem... What graphic card and drivers?

You must be kidding ...
WHAT DA HELL AFFECT ON Wine is PlayOnLinux ??? Wine is backend - POL - frontend ... especially because POL ONLY deals about launching and adjusting WineCfg environment specified be end-user for every each application ... but not about runetime therefore it DOES NOT affect Wine ...
It just pisses me very very very very very much when you claim such bugs "invalid" ... especially because POL support sucks very much and I have been already told to consult you about this issue ...
Seems like I have been left again alone with this bug and having to play W3TFT with non-max graphical seetings ..

Needs to be tested and ivestigated if problem lays under driver on opengl wrapper ...

That's exactly the reason why it's (and other so called "frontends") are not supported here. And calm down a bit if you're asking for help.

I did the retest and no such problem here. And when i don't use PlayOnLinux it might be the reason, thus you are told, Linards, not to use POL.
Of course it could be even ATI (with most probability). So the conclusion for you is to eliminate all the possible failures and use as simple test case as possible, i.e. try to reproduce in clean wine environment without POL & etc.
Tested and works under: * wine-1.1.42 and wine-1.2-rc2-197-ge1fd439 * nvidia GT240 v195.36.24 * Debian Lenny 32bit

What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |chrisdhaag@googlemail.com
--- Comment #17 from c chrisdhaag@googlemail.com 2012-01-03 19:03:58 CST --- Well, this bug is old, but it still happens (yes, with vanilla wine 1.3.36) IF:
* You use fglrx.
* In amdcccle (amd catalyst control center) go to "3D" - "More Settings" - "Enable Catalyst AI", put the slider to the right to "Advanced".
Then Warcraft3 will look quite broken. It's not only the menu borders, but also the buttons will lack the "click-effect" and I believe in-game is also not good.
This setting is meant improve the performance on using driver optimization on a per application basis. But it apparently rather breaks stuff.
To "fix" this, simply put the "Catalyst AI" slider to the left to the "Standard" setting or - probably better - turn it off.
So this is probably after all really invalid and a problem in the amd/ati driver. But maybe still worth looking into?
