Summary: Kega Fusion: Direct 3D output does not fill window in windowed mode Product: Wine Version: 1.0-rc4 Platform: Other URL: http://www.eidolons-inn.net/tiki-index.php?page=Kega OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: tgheretford@fast4.net
When the program first starts in windowed mode, the graphics in the application window are shifted down to the bottom and to the right. On the desktop, the further to the bottom and the right you move the Kega Fusion application window, the further down and right the graphics move in the window.
Fullscreen mode is not affected by this bug.
Currently using NVidia 169.12 drivers on a Zotac 512MB AMP! Edition card but I do know that the same problem occurred on my old computer using a Geforce 6200 card.
Below will be two picture attachments of my desktop showing the bug when I move the application window around my desktop.

These two shots show what happens when you move the window around the screen. In the top left of the desktop, the Direct3D output fills most of the window in the right and lower hand side of the window

But once you move the window further down and to the right on the desktop, the Direct3D output moves further down and to the right in the window.

--- Comment #4 from Ben Leggett algosystem@gmail.com 2008-10-12 02:12:27 --- Bug also affects Gens Plus! when using the Direct3D ouput. Seems to be a bug with how D3D surfaces embedded in windows are handled.

--- Comment #5 from James Huk Huk256@wp.pl 2009-05-07 09:44:07 --- Confirming in wine-1.1.20 (note - doesn't happen if we set "ForceCompatibleGFX=1" and "CompatibleGFXOpt=0" however that is probably because setting above things forces DDraw-Only mode (old Kega engine)

--- Comment #6 from James Huk Huk@wine.x.pl 2010-06-27 02:31:59 --- This bug seems to be a duplicate of Bug 20821.

still a bug in current wine?
Downloading 3.6.4, all seems fine, no peoblems with windowed mode at all (although I now have a different computer to what I mentioned before).
Of course, this has also been superseded by the Linux release of Kega Fusion.
