When I run Spore, just after I have correctly installed it, it keeps asking me
for the registration code I used. As I enter it and wait, the same request is
prompted to me. The console output is attached.

I am running Ubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04)
I have a working internet connection that wine can access.
I have set winhttp as Builtin (Wine) for this application.

No... In fact, native winhttp makes it not connect to the licensing server.
Builtin (Wine) winhttp allows that, at least

Does the licensing server return a 404? A WINEDEBUG=+winhttp trace would
be helpful but make sure to change valuable details such as your license
key before attaching it here.

sorry, where do I run that command?
I tried passing it as an argumment to the commands to run spore, but it was
unsuccesful

Run this command:

$ WINEDEBUG=+winhttp wine /path/to/spore.exe &> spore.txt

and attach spore.txt to this bug. Don't forget to remove your license key.

The winhttp log looks pretty normal, but you get a 404 in response to the
posting of your license key. Can you reproduce this problem on Windows?
