"Output" I got when I tried to run Trillian/when it crashed

Installing Trillian works just fine, but then when I try to launch it (either
from the installer or from the desktop) it crashes.

I see a similar problem in wine 1.4.1 but not in wine 1.7. Please update and
try again, the program version I used to test was one not the exact same
version.

Thanks a lot! This actually worked for me too. 
There are still problems though, like that Trillian crashes when trying to edit
certain preferences, Login with Facebook seems not to work and skypekit.exe,
which is needed to include Skype in Trillian, crashes also. But I guess it's
still nice that the core program works now :)
