Summary: Hitman: Codename 47 Product: Wine Version: 1.0-rc4 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: bobgoat37@yahoo.com
OpenGL is now working as of 1.0-rc3 but, for me, the game not only won't go fullscreen using OpenGL, it refuses to take focus (using ratpoison wm). Even with fullscreen disabled so that the game starts as a window the focus stays on the terminal. However, direct3d is strangely enough working just fine.
NVIDIA driver 173.14.05 kernel 2.6.25 under Gentoo.

Some more info. I'm using ratpoison, which is a tiling WM. I've discovered when I have only one frame open the game actually runs fine in OpenGL. However, OpenGL mode does seem to have problems when I'm running the game in one of two or more frames, while direct3d doesn't have a problem with that. So it must be a problem b etween the OpenGL part of wine and the way tiling WMs work.

--- Comment #2 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2008-06-12 22:34:17 --- Please try this with normal WM (such ask Gnome/KDE). If everything works, then please file bug with whomever makes ratpoison. Wine requires lots of features and FreeDesktop standards complaint window manager.
According to FreeDesktop ( http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/wm-spec ) that WM is not listed at all. So it's not compatible with Wine.
Closing invalid.
