Shadows above the sacks

The shadows appear above the objects, instead of below.
Near the question mark in the screenshot this is evident, the shadows are above
the sacks.

Yes, still happens on 1.0-rc4.

I cannot run the game anymore. Every version, starting from 1.0 (including
1.0-rc4) and then going to 1.1.x, freezes in a black screen before the main
menu show up. Process is idle and the last messages on the console are:

I have compiler errors trying to compile any 0.9.x version

This is on 2.6.27-gentoo kernel and also happened on 2.6.24-gentoo. I also
tested on Ubuntu Intrepid with kernel 2.6.27 with the same behavior.

No download, no update from OP for three years. Is this still an issue in 1.5.4
or should this be closed as abandoned ?

I tested the demo (link in the URL field of the bug) with 1.5.4 and the shadows
seems to be right.
