Lazarus 0.9.24 being run under WINE 0.9.51

Some icons are drawn incorrectly in Lazarus 0.9.24 (win32 version).

For me it doesn't show some icons at all.
Wine version is wine-1.0-rc1-g2470b0b, Lazarus 0.9.24 (SVN 12752). Screenshot

Icons are still upside down on wine 1.1.9 running on OpenSuse 11.0 with ATI
X700 graphics running fglrx.

Same on 1.1.15 and Lazarus 0.9.26. All icons are flipped horizontally. Placing
mouse over a button shows another imagelist icon correctly.

The bug continues today, 30-august-2010.

Marc, the Lazarus developer who was implementing handling PNG transparent,
think
that is a bug in Wine.

But other applications , like Firefox and IrfanView, shows OK transparent 
PNGs. Only Lazarus inverts vertically these PNGs. Opaque PNG and BMP are
handled 
correctly.

Tested in Wine 1.2 in Puppy Linux 5 and in wineXO in XO-1 ( Fedora + Sugar).

The executable was compiled in Windows SP3 Spanish using Lazarus 0.9.29 .

Could it be graphics card specific?  Maybe the people having the problem
all have ati cards, for example.

Works here for me with wine-1.3.1.  (I'm on current nvidia with proprietary
drivers.)

There's a good description of a trick the developer is using to decide
whether bitmaps are upsidedown at

Perhaps Wine didn't handle that trick before...

I'll email offline a bit with Alejandro Lavarello, who says he's still having

Executable compiled with Lazarus 0.9.29 showing transparent PNG inversion in
Wine 1.2 and WineXO

This is a simple executable with a transparent PNG image loaded at design
time in a TImage control showing inversion in Wine and working OK in Windows.

The executable can be downloaded from MegaUpload, in this link:

The file size is 2.288.126  bytes (2.2 MB) and was compressed using WinRAR.
Inside the .RAR the executable is named projectimagemirroredinwine.exe
and their  size is 12.880.922 bytes.

I can confirm that the .EXE file from http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NVSAW5Y1
still has transparent .png image reverted in Wine 1.3.1. All other images look
OK, look in Windows is also OK.

Please reopen the bug.

This one looks a bit messy already and now you have different application than
was originaly reported. For those two reasons consider opening a new bug.
