Summary: Installation of CloneCD fails, after which running other programs report errors Product: Wine Version: 1.1.42 Platform: x86 URL: http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: markk@clara.co.uk
Created an attachment (id=27371) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=27371) clonecd_install.txt - terminal output on running CloneCD installer
CloneCD is a CD imaging/backup program. I tried to download and install CloneCD 5.3.1.4 from the SlySoft web site.
On running the installer (which does mostly appear to complete), output to the terminal begins (see attachment clonecd_install.txt for the rest): $ wine ./SetupCloneCD5314.exe fixme:advapi:SetEntriesInAclA 1 0x33fe20 (nil) 0x33fe08 fixme:ntoskrnl:KeInitializeMutex stub: 0x110fc8, 0 fixme:ntoskrnl:KeInitializeMutex stub: 0x110ff0, 0 fixme:ntoskrnl:KeInitializeEvent stub: 0x110fa0 1 0 fixme:ntoskrnl:KeInitializeEvent stub: 0x110fb0 1 0 fixme:ntoskrnl:KeInitializeSpinLock stub: 0x110f98 wine: Call from 0x7b8365a2 to unimplemented function ntoskrnl.exe.KeSetEvent, aborting wine: Unimplemented function ntoskrnl.exe.KeSetEvent called at address 0x7b8365a2 (thread 0029), starting debugger... fixme:ntoskrnl:ObReferenceObjectByHandle stub: 0x54 1f0000 (nil) 0 0x110fc0 (nil) Unhandled exception: unimplemented function ntoskrnl.exe.KeSetEvent called in 32-bit code (0x7b8365a2).
After that, running other/any Windows program, e.g. wine winhlp32.exe gives similar output. (Maybe due to a device driver that CloneCD installs???)

--- Comment #1 from Juan Lang juan_lang@yahoo.com 2010-04-15 13:56:09 --- This was already reported for AnyDVD and CloneCD, both by the same developer. You're right, this does indicate a device driver is installed that's calling KeSetEvent.
