Hi,
Can you add your terminal output as an attachment to this bug report?

--- Comment #2 from Xanth xanthsjunk@gmail.com --- I would, but I'm not sure how to get a terminal output.

I would, but I'm not sure how to get a terminal output.
You can redirect your terminal output to a text file like so:
wine steam.exe &> steam_terminal_output
That will create a text file called steam_terminal_output.txt in whatever directory you ran that command in.
Once you start Steam, start the game and reproduce the error you have mentioned in your original report. Once you're done, exit Steam and attach the text file generated by the command I wrote above.
If the text file is too large, just zip it up and attach it to this bug report.

Created attachment 58726 [details] The terminal output says that it can't find steam.exe
I had an issue generating the terminal output. It says it can't find steam.exe.
The Steam.exe can be found in the following location for a given Wine prefix:
/home/<your user name>/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/

--- Comment #8 from Xanth xanthsjunk@gmail.com --- Installing d3dx9 did not do anything. I did not see d3dcompiler_43 in winetricks.

--- Comment #9 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- Just run "winetricks d3dx9 d3dcompiler_43". Does this help?

--- Comment #11 from zaplo00@mt2015.com --- At least a year ago you had to install d3dcompiler_43 and xact_jun2010 from winetricks or it would crash. Additionally you need to install 32-bit codecs for videos.
