Bug ID: 44092 Summary: user32:sysparams test in Windows permanently vertically shortens the test shell window Product: Wine Version: 2.22 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Windows Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: user32 Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: parkerjbarker@yahoo.com
When I run the 64 bit winetest under Vista Ultimate 64-bit, I find that it's the user32:sysparams test that shortens the test shell window vertically, so that the status bar (showing how many tests have failed) is now half-showing. The wine test shell window is not being properly restored.

--- Comment #1 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- Can't reproduce on my Win7 x64 VM.
Does it also happen when you execute "user32_crosstest sysparams", assuming you compiled them yourself? Or only when running the winetest application?

--- Comment #2 from parkerjbarker@yahoo.com --- This is not compiled by me. It's straight off of the winetest page.

--- Comment #3 from parkerjbarker@yahoo.com --- Perhaps it's not user32:sysparams? It's while the test window is showing that that is the test that's being run that the window gets shortened vertically, and it's near the end of the sysparams test.

--- Comment #4 from parkerjbarker@yahoo.com --- seems to definitely be user32:sysparams, and I am not running in a virtual machine.

--- Comment #5 from parkerjbarker@yahoo.com --- I run a winetest, then leave the dialogue box open which asks to submit the results. Then I run the next build's winetest. I find that every winetest shortens those previous dialogue boxes, even to the point where the "yes" or "no" buttons are not visible, not clickable, and I have to press "y" in order to select "yes".

--- Comment #6 from parkerjbarker@yahoo.com --- This is still happening as of 4.0rc1. I'm using Win7 ultimate now, though.

--- Comment #7 from parkerjbarker@yahoo.com --- still happening as of winetest64-7d954f23356f (04 Oct 2019), not sure if it's user32:sysparams, but it happens around that time that the windows start changing sizes
