Summary: OziExplorer fails to install Product: Wine Version: 20050930 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: wine-misc AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: jdoutt@whoi.edu CC: jdoutt@whoi.edu
I'm running Fedora 3 on an IBM thinkpad T30.
OziExplorer can be freely downloaded from
by clicking on the upper left on software...OziExplorer then by scrolling down to "download ....Site 1"
It is a charting program which can import navigational charts or maps and can dynamically show ones position if a GPS is attached to the computer
I start the installation with:
wine oziexp_setup-1.exe
The installation progresses OK until the menu
"select start menu folder" where the default is "oziexplorer"
Here the default answer "OziExplorer" returns a "the folder name is not valid" error message
If the name is changed to "c", the installation proceeds to the next step. I unselected both "creation of icons" and clicked "next"
In the next window I clicked on "install"
the install process comes up with "Access violation at address 7BEBF8C4..."
and the install terminates upon clicking "OK"
