Summary: Titan Quest Immortal Throne: Startup videos can not be skipped Product: Wine Version: 1.1.6 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: lordhavoc@ghdigital.com
When Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is launched it displays a series of logo videos and the cinematic introduction to the game.
Clicking or pressing various keys (escape, space, enter) does not skip these videos on wine 1.1.6.
When doing so on Windows machines available to me the skipping only works sporadically (it takes anywhere from 1 to 5 clicks or keypresses per video, and there are multiple videos).
Workaround: rename the Videos directory to skip these videos.

--- Comment #2 from Forest Hale lordhavoc@ghdigital.com 2009-04-27 20:31:35 --- Yes. No apparent change.
As noted this bug happens on some real Windows installations as well - Videos can be skipped on XP, but on XP Pro x64 the skipping is random (occasionally works if you hammer the keys or mouse buttons), on Vista Business x64 I have had no success trying to skip the videos.
It is highly annoying on any platform where it occurs, and its inconsistency makes me think it is an incorrect assumption in the game's input handling (and may be some kind of race condition, but that is purely a guess).
So I can't say whether Wine should attempt to fix it or not, it would be nice though.

--- Comment #3 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-10-29 14:51:25 --- If it occurs on windows too, then it's an application bug. Invalid.
