I've seen this same behavior with Wine 1.3.11 and Desura 100.24. I have not
tried the suggested patch, but I have no idea how to go about doing it in the
first place.

Loading Offline Mode will load the client, but it doesn't seem to have a lot of
functionality.

As of Wine 1.3.25 Desura no longer crashes on login. Still at best a Bronze,
but at least it launches and kinda works.

ok, marking fixed. Still i would be happy if the reporter (Leighman) could
confirm it's fixed.
