--- Comment #1 from Sara sara@saracooke.com --- Updated to wine 7.0 and a coredump happens before finishing installation. Seems it MAY be related to Framework 3.5

Seems it MAY be related to Framework 3.5
Likely not. 'winetricks ie8' get`s it around this bug. It starts into the game then for me.
The installer checks for c:\windows\Microsoft.net\Framework\v3.5 (with FindFirstFileEx). If you create this directory manually it doesn`t complain anymore about missing .Net, and Mono is enough to get it running.
@Esme: I guess this directory should be added/created by Mono installer?

--- Comment #3 from Esme Povirk madewokherd@gmail.com --- Oddly, I don't have that directory on my Windows 11 machine.

--- Comment #4 from Esme Povirk madewokherd@gmail.com --- I didn't have .NET Framework 3.5 installed.
I made a commit adding that directory: https://github.com/madewokherd/wine-mono/commit/d30b97b0af371fb655159e7a2970...
But I'm just seeing a crash in mshtml. If I'm reading this correctly, OleObject_SetClientSite attempts to call IDocHostUIHandler_GetHostInfo, but the method is NULL in the object's vtable, so it crashes.

I marked component for this bug to mshtml for that in this repott; Maybe open a seperate bugreport to track the (already solved by you) .Net issue?
