PortableApps fails when starting. It just shows the Wine error window telling the user to come here and report the bug. It's in the latest version in October 14th.

Bell cbell44@cfl.rr.com 2012-01-27 20:09:12 CST --- Using WINE 1.3.28 in Oneiric Ocelot, Kubuntu 11.10, AMD64, when starting the portable version of Thunderbird (no idea of version, since it won't even start) it quits with a vague message the does nothing to help. Portable Thunderbird runs fine under Kubuntu 11.04, Natty Narwhal. The same program works with 11.04 using 1.2.2, but not 11.10 using WINE 1.3.28 I think there is a problem with 1.3.28, of course it could be 11.10, but I seriously doubt it. Once again, the message that was given with the failure was totally useless.

Marking fixed. Reopen if this is still an issue for you in current (1.4 or later) Wine and you can provide the requested log.
