run the program from the terminal after cd'ing to the install directory and attach the terminal output as a text file.

--- Comment #3 from Eric Lorenz eric@emlorenz.com 2009-12-31 01:56:18 --- Hi Jeff:
Thanks- I apologise for the mistake in severity...read them again and I understand now.
I am trying to get the terminal output you asked for...I am pretty new to the command line. The full path I guess would be (under my home directory)
/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/ACD Systems/ACDSee/8.0 Pro
I can cd to the level of drive_c, then if I do 'cd Program Files' I get 'no such file or directory'. What am I doing wrong?

You're using additional space, it's not acceptable. Try tab for autocompletion, you'll see a difference.

Those DLLs are located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\ACD Systems\ and C:\Program Files\Common Files\ACD Systems\EN, which suggests a search path problem.

yes and putting all those files to same dir like ACDSee8.exe moves ACDSee further, but crashing because of IE. Adding "winetricks ie6" makes it run, but does not look usable...

You starting it wrong. You have to start this app with: cd ~ wine start ACDSee8.exe
Same thing happens on windows. If anything this bug is about incorrectly created shortcut.

Is this still an issue in wine version 1.6-rc3 or higher or is this to be closed as abandoned ?
