There are some d3d-related error messages in the console output, which sometimes/often appear when you collect a Habitat Fragment. I didn't notice any graphical errors in the game output however.
To reproduce, download and install the game. After installing you'll need to do "winetricks ie6" in order for the trial front-end to work. Run the game and play until you have collected some Habitat Fragments. I tested with Wine 1.2rc6, Xubuntu 9.10, Nvidia driver 256.35.

I didn't notice any graphical errors in the game output however.
Then ignore all the messages you see in the terminal. Any fixmes/errs/warns are not bugs on their own.
