Console Output

When attempting to start Guild Wars through the command;

$ wine Gw.exe -windowed

It gets to the point where the window is created, then freezes while spamming
"fixme:dbghelp:SymInitializeW what to do ??" to the console twice a second.

I can confirm that I used to have this issue (Ubuntu 6.10?) but no longer see
it on my current installation. This still does seem to be a common issue with
many people.

That is the result of the crash.
What video card? What drivers? What hapenes with wine-0.9.53?

I had the same problem - an update from wine 0.9.35 to 0.9.54 did fix this.
When I change resolution often/click too much I still get lockups, but this may
not be the same problem, I just wanted to confirm :)

Apparently fixed in the latest Wine (latest is 0.9.53, I guess you meant that).
