Problem occurs with version 1.6.1 and 1.7.8.

Application is Quicken Deluxe 2012 financial software.

behavior is 80% consistent. works 1 out of 5 or 6 times.

Workaround: 'winetricks wininet'

or (as already mentioned): pin the process to a single core.
