System is 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 and binaries for Wine 1.5.8 This is an intermittent problem. After this page fault, the application can be successfully re-run using the exact same data!

It continues to occur intermittently but I'm unable to re-produce on demand... so don't yet have detailed debug output.

no further response from OP, resolving 'ABANDONED'.
Also refining summary to avoid novice users to subscribe/report issues here that seem similar to them (low level native API function mentioned that has no relation to the actual problem).
