[Bug 1361] - Regression - DirectX sound isn't working properly for some games

Are you using a microphone with half-life?  If so (or even if not), 
the problem may be related to bug 1363.
In the [dsound] section of the config file, add:
"HardwareAcceleration" = "Emulation"
and see if that helps.
If so, then the real fix will have to wait until I finish the direct sound
capture driver.
