Summary: Express Lister2 for Quicksales installs but won't run Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: ewin.campbell@gmail.com
Hi, I am a novice to Linux. I am running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - Lucid. I am in Australia and am about to use an eBay type online auction called Quicksales. They have a listing tool called Express Lister2 that you can download and use offline to setup your auctions the bulk upload them. Wine is great and using it I have been able to install and run all the windows programs I need. So I downloaded Express Lister2 and it installed fine. However when I try to run it either it tries to load, 'spinning cursor', then nothing or I get one or both of these error messages.. Invalid parameter or There is no Windows program to open this type of file.
The program can be found at..

Hi Andrew I am using wine 1.32.1 I have attached the log file. Thanks Ian
I don't believe you started the program correctly. ExpressLister.exe is located in the Windows path C:\users\Public\Application Data\OZtion\OZtion Express Lister 2. What actually happen is:
wine: Install Mono for Windows to run .NET 2.0 applications.
You might want to do this with winetricks, although the native .NET 2.0 redist likely yields better behavior from the application.

No, the binary is in the path I indicated. The installer doesn't place the application files in the Program Files folder, and it does the same on Windows.

--- Comment #7 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2013-11-13 16:50:27 CST --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 2 years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.6 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.6 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).
