Ive been playing Jedi Academy for a long time. I just switched to ubuntu from Windows. I installed and instantly noticed a problem with the mouse. The mouse seems to speed up and slow down randomly.
I'm using a Logitch G500. It only happens in-game. In League of Legends (also running through wine), it works perfectly fine.
I have tried disabling mouse acceleration both in-game and in the system.

Basically, the mouse sensitivity changes. It seems to speed up or slow down at random intervals during use. Obviously, as a shooter-style game, this is a major issue (aim can be messed up because of a sudden mouse change of speed).
This happens only on Jedi Academy, and only when it's in full screen. It doesn't affect other games, whether native or WINE.

I'm not the original poster, but I'll give some information anyway.
I just installed 1.5.8 and it hasn't changed anything (the bug is still present). My Xorg version is 1.11.3 on Ubuntu 12.04 x64 (kernel 3.2.0-26). Haven't tried the demo version, but will give it a go sometime today.

The mouse in the singleplayer is crap by default, but I played through it a little bit and it's still happening. Ive quit jka a few times and never remember that issue. Its as soon as I installed a fresh new ubuntu OS from windows 7. My buddy, says it may be due to the new mouse stuff added during the 1.3 cycle.
