With it you can pass the ReadFileEx error when you launch the game with Ubisoft Game Launcher.
But, use this wine version + hack only with Ubisoft's game, the hack can break other apps.
I would like to buy this game so thanks you :)

I resolv this problem. I modified the line <RefreshRate>0</RefreshRate> in Engine.ini .
If this line is 0, the "Exluding module ..." message appears. I change 0 by 60 and no i haven't this message. I see only the game cursor, the game is launch but i don't see the game itself.

--- Comment #18 from Berillions berillions@gmail.com 2012-05-19 02:57:00 CDT --- I don't know why i continue to search where come from this fuck*ng problem because i haven't knowledge.
I like this game but actually it's possible to play it only on Windows so i think to return completly on Seven, even if i love Linux... For these reasons :
1- Nobody try to search where come from the problem. The bugs exist for the release game and the Demo so it's easy to reproduce. 2- It seems that the Wine dev (even if they make a great work for wine) choose the bug which they want to correct...
This bug was create 5 month ago and there isn't progress.
Thanks to read me and good luck.

--- Comment #19 from kenjiru kenjiru.ro@gmail.com 2012-05-19 14:56:15 CDT --- Berillions, take it easy. The Wine developers are doing a great job, if you consider the limited resources they have. I'm sure they are prioritizing the bugs that affect more people first, and then look at the less important ones. That's why big games like WoW and D3 worked under fine right after they were lunched.
What you can do, is to attract attention, by submitting bugs and voting the applications you like. For instance, you can go the game page in appdb and vote for the game:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=24799
There is a 'Vote' link in the left panel, next to the game information.

Congratulation Berillions. I spent some time with this bug on Sunday, but failed.
That "/dev/null & -all" is intereting, because there was't so much output, mostly generated by the game not wine.
From my testing i had a feeling that it comes from networking, because it
failed in the same thread, few lines above fail to connect to some sandbox.

I know one thing too. In clean wineprefix, the Autopatcher does not works. I mean, the Autopatcher itself works but not the update, it's impossible to download the patch, there is a message told you that you don't connect to Internet.
To resolv this problem, you must to install winhttp with winetricks.

It's ok for the Autopatcher but when i launch the game (not the demo) i can't connect to the Ubisoft server when i must to put my login/password.
I have always a message told me that the connection to the server was lost. :(

I've tested it in a clean wineprefix. Anno needs d3dx9 d3dx9_43 d3dx9_42 d3dx11_43 d3dx11_42 vcrun2008 vcrun2010 winhttp corefonts and has to be installed from inside that wineprefix (copying loooks like it works, but will fail to start).
Anyways the ubisoft game launcher changed on 3rd of July which made the game not workable anymore. It's more or less the same behaviour, the game launcher thinks it's starting anno but nothing opens up.
