--- Comment #1 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com 2009-09-09 15:54:45 --- Hi, Claudio.
Try to install some modules this program depends on:
use 'winetricks mdac25' for that.
This script could be found here http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks.
Is this application available for download? If so post url please.

--- Comment #2 from Cláudio da Silveira Pinheiro taupter@gmail.com 2009-09-09 16:16:52 --- The program can be downloaded from:
http://rapidshare.com/files/277844470/XCardIssuer-1.00.54.exe.html
The winetricks failed, I'm not sure it was because I already installed ADO tools by hand before.

The program can be downloaded from:
http://rapidshare.com/files/277844470/XCardIssuer-1.00.54.exe.html
What about official locations? Are you allowed to redistribute that?
The winetricks failed, I'm not sure it was because I already installed ADO tools by hand before.
Clean .wine, install mdac25 using winetricks and try again.

(From update of attachment 23533 [details]) DO NOT point to illegal downloads.
It is _not_ an illegal download. I work for the firm who develops this program (Fujitec, http://www.fujitec.com.br - my work e-mail is claudio.pinheiro@fujitec.com.br), I have access to its source code, I asked my manager if I could ask for help about running this program in bugs.winehq.com and he allowed me to do so, including sending a copy of it. Doing it differently would put my job at risk, and I have a family to take care of. This program is pretty useless without the accompanying hardware and there's no download link because the software is rented with the aforementioned hardware in long term contracts with transportation companies interested in embedded systems, and we have a support team that does all the gory things, from soldering the equipment in trucks and buses to upgrading its firmwares and doing maintenance. I was hired to port the source code to Linux, as it will cut production costs greatly. I used RapidShare because I don't have a hosting service, and bugging the management to hire a web developer and altering the Fujitec homepage just to put a download link was, in my evaluation, too much of an effort if a RapidShare link would suffice and be the fastest way to put it online.
Please don't accuse me of piracy without proof other than your presumption/gut feeling. There are honest people out there who play by the rules.

Fair enough. Look at it from our side. We see a lot of people uploading stuff they don't have the right to do so. In the future, a comment saying that would've avoided the uncertainty.

--- Comment #10 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2013-11-13 16:48:33 CST --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 2 years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.6 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.6 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).
