When I try to fill any textfield in the game (Audiosruf login, Scrobbler login), it enters strange characters after every keypress.

You can still login/use the last.fm scrobbler by deleting all but the first of the strange letters. The first letter is the actual character you pressed on your keyboard.

It is just more annoying. You can just count the stars. Enter the first letter, then remove all but the first star. Then enter the second letter and remove all but the first two stars. Do that until you're done with your password and you can login.

Then I had a kernel panic that corrupted Audiosurf so I had to reinstall it and now I am apparently getting invisible characters (not spaces) inserted as well which makes it pretty much impossible to log in.
I noticed the invisible characters when I filled up the email address input box after I had only entered half of my email address and it wouldn't let me enter any more letters. When I backspaced, some letters would take several hits of the backspace to get rid of.

It stores the username and password (in plaintext even!) in the following file under the steam install directory (C:\Program Files\Steam\ by default):
\steamapps\common\audiosurf\engine\Support\SavedConstants.cgr
If you copy that file from an audiosurf install that is already logged in, you will be automatically logged in when you start Audiosurf next time.

I suspect either an issue with international keyboard (possibly Audiosurf not recognizing any default) or font types. I did attempt to install allfonts though, so the first is more likely.
