Bug ID: 43555 Summary: No audio output from programs in 32-bit prefix Product: Wine Version: 2.14 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: lukeoftheaura@protonmail.com Distribution: ---
I can't get any audio output from any program running under a 32-bit prefix. The sound test in winecfg works fine, and all programs in a 64-bit prefix also work fine. I'm using the pulseaudio driver.
Tested programs: Guitar hero III: legends of rock 1.3.1 VLC win32 Foobar2000 win32

--- Comment #3 from Andrew Eikum aeikum@codeweavers.com --- Hi Luke, I see in your log that audio is being given to PulseAudio. I wonder if Pulse or your prefix is misconfigured. Can you try VLC in a new Wine prefix? Also check that the program volumes aren't muted in a mixer like pavucontrol.

--- Comment #4 from Luke lukeoftheaura@protonmail.com --- OK, somehow audio is now magically working, but there is a lot of stuttering/pops/lag.

Yes, the problem this bugreport was about was not a wine-bug, the reporter had misconfiguration of Pulse
