Error details

When I try to install adobe dreamweaver cc (but also other version) precisely
when I click: "install" or "try", then Adobe asks me to sign in and then wine
gives me an error saying something like (I translated it from italian): the
PDapp.exe programm has encountered an error and has to be closed, then I click
"show details" and the result is reported in the attachment.

Can you help me?

Hello folks,

works fine here.
Signed in and downloaded 'Adobe Dreamweaver'.

You are using an old Wine version.
Upgrade to recent Wine 1.7.x, preferably 1.7.20

If you don't know how to do that, visit WineHQ user forums

Thank you for the answer, I did as you suggested me and I installed the new
version 1.7.18, but unfortunately it gives me the same error!

I have to correct what I said before, wine gives me that error just with
dreamweaver cc and dreamweaver cs6, with dreamweaver cs5 it works.
Why? 
I need, at least, cs6 because of some functionalities that cs5 doesn't have.

Unable to confirm.

With wine set to Windows XP:
Only Dreamweaver CS6 available.
CS6 downloaded, installed and runs.

With wine set to Windows 7:
Only Dreamweaver CC (2014) edition available to download.
CC (2014) downloaded and installed without crash, however it fails to install
MS VC++ Redist 2012 (see bug 17273 which is looking to be fixed soon).

Dreamweaver.exe then depends on mfc110u.dll and workspace.dll which I assume
are both part of VC2012.

Thank you too for your efforts, anyway, just to confirm, I've updated to the
new wine 1.7.24 and to ubuntu 14.04 and, sadly, I have the same problem with
adobe dreamweaver cc (2014)

When you say the same problem, do you mean a PDApp.exe crash as per your
original bug or the problem I described (reliant on vc2012)?

As an aside, the latest wine is 1.7.25 but it may not have hit the repositories
yet. I compiled from source and although bug 17273 is fixed now, it seems we're
waiting on bug 17195 (which is a little steeped in drama right now :/) for
vc2012 to install.

That's interesting, could you get an up to date crash log? I wonder if it's
something to do with Italian localisation? I can't imagine why but I can't
reproduce the bug, it just signs in and downloads the install files for me.

However, I had almost given up, when today I don't know why it has decided to
work! It doesn't make sense I've not changed anything from a few days ago!

But it would be too nice if it worked and indeed it gives me the error:

Ah, yeah. That's where I'm up to. You'll actually find that if you kill the
download manager at that point, everything but the vc2012 redistributable has
been installed to drive_c/Program Files/Adobe etc. It will fail to run though
because of missing mfc110u.dll which I guess is from vc2012. You might have
some luck grabbing them from a windows install. Bug 17195 is blocking vc2012,
once that's done it may 'just work'.

I guess this can be closed now?
