Left4Dead demo hangs/studders badly on starting new game/level making it impossible to play. Tried in dxlevel 90 & 95. console output/log attached.
Specs:
AMD 3200+ 2.5 Ghz, Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 x64 , 1 Gig Ram, nvidia driver 177.80 256 megs vidram

added new console output with "official" L4D demo (build 3656) as of 11-11-08. Condition still the same ~ Locks/hangs at loading new game.
settings: Shaders - Low, Effects - Low, Textures - Medium :: dxlevel 95 , heapsize 256000 , 1024x768 ::

After having thrown in another Gig of ram and setting the heapsize to 512000(!) it seems to have solved the impossible studder/hitching. It's a classic Source engine 'issue' but it's a new one for me.
As far as the 'fixme:d3d:state_blendop Unrecognized/Unhandled D3DBLENDOP value 0' errors it occurs at the Main menu and doesn't seem to hurt preformance/rendering any. Having looked into it, it's referring to /dlls/wined3d/state.c and the alpha channel. What this unrecognized blendop mode is , is beyond my knowledge.
