Works fine here after winetricks dotnet20. How did you install dot net?

Just installed Paint.net on another machine with just deletet ~/.wine/. I used
"winetrick dotnet20" and windows version 2003, then installed
Paint.NET.3.31.exe. It installed without error. Application starts, and few
function works - drawing area, status bar, saving files. Rest is broken.

Then i repeated the same on problematic box from which i reported bug.

1. Removed ~/.wine/
2. winetricks dotnet20
2. winecfg
3. set windows version 2003
4. wine Paint.Net.3.31.exe
5. Crash, just like ffirst time.

Differences beetwen this computers:

working: debian unstable, WINE from git, pentium 4, reiser fs

broken: debian etch, WINE 1.0-rc4, core 2 duo, /home on NFSv4

Yes, problem is with file system.

Addding step

0. export WINEPREFIX=/scratch/baryluk/.wine/   # ext3

solves installation problem.

But why?

Hello,

I suggest to close this bug as invalid.
This is expected (default) behaviour of .NET when loading/running code over
network/remote location.

You could relax the security policy to include that specific network location
(share whatever) that you want to allow code to load/run from.
There is a utility "caspol.exe" in the .NET Framework that can be used to
adjust  trust policies (preventing such security exceptions).

But again: that's nothing the scope of Wine, hence this bug is INVALID.
