[Bug 15762] New: .desktop files are created in ~, not in ~/Desktop

When I install an application, .desktop files are created in ~ and .lnk files,
in ~/Desktop. However, in my wine config, Desktop is linked as ~/Desktop.

Yes, for all applications I have installed which create a .desktop file. This
is the case for:
- Openoffice.org3
- notepad++
- winmerge 2.10
- videolan
- nsis
- xnview
- ...

maybe a WINEDEBUG=+menubuilder when instlaling an app will be helpful?

Also, in regedit, check the value for
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders ->
Desktop

Ok, I have checked the value in regedit: C:\windows\profiles\hugues\Bureau
In french, Bureau is Desktop

~/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/hugues/Bureau.

Is that a directory or a symlink. If it's a symlink, what does it point to?

yes, C:\windows\profiles\hugues\Bureau is
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/hugues/Bureau and this folder points to
/home/hugues/Bureau

I think there's a problem when the $HOME/Desktop dir does not exist because the
"desktop" folder has a localized name.

No, this is not an issue with 1.1.21
