Bug #: 30323 Summary: Unigine Heaven DX11 Benchmark 3.0 Basic Edition: Ambient Occlusion causes graphical issue Product: Wine Version: 1.5.1 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: jsims2359@gmail.com Classification: Unclassified
In the Unigine Heaven DX11 Benchmark 3.0 Basic Edition, enabling Ambient Occlusion distorts graphics. Disabling Ambient Occlusion returns graphics to normal. You can toggle it from within the app while the scenes are being rendered. It's pretty cool.

--- Comment #3 from John P Sims jsims2359@gmail.com 2012-04-01 12:45:34 CDT --- The issue occurs when running the benchmark in DX9 mode. DX10 and DX11 modes were not tested.

--- Comment #4 from John P Sims jsims2359@gmail.com 2012-04-01 14:23:16 CDT --- In the previous version, Unigine Heaven DX11 Benchmark 2.1 Basic Edition, when using DX9 mode, the Ambient Occlusion option does not distort the graphics.

--- Comment #5 from John P Sims jsims2359@gmail.com 2012-06-23 01:34:02 CDT --- Still present in wine 1.5.7.
Additional notes:
Occurs when API is set to "DirectX 9" and shaders are set to "High". If API is set to "DirectX 9" and shaders are set to "Medium" or lower, graphics are fine. If API is set to "OpenGL", graphics are fine regardless of setting (including Extreme Tessellation).

Still present in wine-1.5.10 with different video card and new drivers.

--- Comment #7 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for two years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.25 or newer) wine?
