after installing baldurs gate II i started the game and then the error came.
wine was not able to check the cd rom driver to check if the original cd is
insert in.

Do you have access to the cdrom device? Is it properly mapped to a drive
letter?

yes i have. my ubuntu can access the cd rom driver. but dont know whether wine
can access my cd rom device.

and the game baldurs gate check automatically whether the cd rom is inserted.
cant influence this behaviour.

No response in over a year, marking abandoned. If this is still an issue in
current (1.3.2 or newer) wine, and you can provide the needed information,
