wine-1.1.11 output when starting tiberian sun

Hello,
the movies in C&C: Tiberian Sun are very slow.

Tested with wine-1.1.11 in a clean WINEPREFIX.
I also applied this trick which is explained in the appdb:

This makes no difference.

I have created a short capture where you can see the problem:

The output of wine is attached.

About my system:
DELL Latitude D830
NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M
NVIDIA 180.17 drivers
Tiberian Sun version is 2.03

This bug seems to be ALSA related.

The videos run fine if I activate OSS in Audio tab of winecfg.

The bug appears again if I deactivate OSS and activate ALSA.

What distro? Have you disabled / killed / removed pulseaudio?

OS: Ubuntu 8.10

After killing pulse the movies run fine when ALSA is enabled.
