Bug #: 32400 Summary: Wine is not able to run games made with game maker 8.0 since the openSuse update to 12.2 Product: Wine Version: 1.5.1 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: anesu_email@yahoo.com.au Classification: Unclassified
Game maker 8.0 games were able to run on OpenSuse 11.4 with the same version of wine. After the upgrade of openSsuse to 12.2, all application/games made in game maker 8.0 give an "unexpected error".
There isn't a higher version of wine in the opensuse repository, so that should be the latest version of wine for opensuse.
Attachments bellow is a game maker application and as a sample to show that while loading it gives an unexpected error.
Thanks, Nexus_Guy

--- Comment #2 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net 2012-12-09 06:23:52 CST --- Not a blocker. http://bugs.winehq.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#importance
Packages for the current development release of Wine are available for openSUSE 12.2 in the openSUSE Wine repository.

--- Comment #3 from anesu_email@yahoo.com.au 2012-12-09 18:46:07 CST --- It is a blocker because that is the main component of my custom system i am developing. Without it my system would not fully start....
In general the applications would through an error and quit...

--- Comment #4 from anesu_email@yahoo.com.au 2012-12-09 18:47:24 CST --- They are not games but they are applications developed using the game maker software.

--- Comment #5 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net 2012-12-09 21:14:37 CST --- "Blocker" is for bugs that block Wine development or testing. This does not.
Upgrade to the latest development release and retest in a clean wineprefix. If the problem is still present, attach (don't paste) terminal output in a plain text file.

--- Comment #6 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2012-12-10 17:07:49 CST --- Works fine here. Likely a bad upgrade/upstream bug.
In any case, please attach the terminal output.

--- Comment #9 from anesu_email@yahoo.com.au --- Yeah, I gave up and do not use Opensuse anymore. Probably was an upgrade bug.
