This is the backtrace that I have saved

Note that this is a cracked version that my teacher gave me, it is an
requirement to use this program. Also, I have just became the app maintainer
for this program, so I think it's necessary to fix this first.

Hardware:

Desktop (not laptop)
CPU - AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.8 GHz
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 1 GB DDR3
RAM - 3 GB

OS:

GNU/Linux Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32-bit with Unity UI

How it happened:

Right click, go to properties, tick "allow executing program" and set Wine as
default program. After that, double click it, and after a while, the error pops
up. I did not even see the program's logo yet.

I did not tweak Wine in any way as I have just installed it. LMMS used it for
its VSTs too, so I am not sure if there is any relations.

If I remember correctly, Wine works perfectly well with SWiSH Max 3 (same exe)
before I made another system reformat. It was on the same OS too, but I think I
was using Wine 1.5. I installed Wine from the Ubuntu Software Centre though.

Ah right, considering on the test results at the SWiSH Max 3 page in WineHQ, it
seems that older version of Wine still worked pretty flawlessly. These are the
test results:

1) Ubuntu 9.10, Sep 21 2009, Wine -v 1.1.29, Platinum rating

2) Ubuntu 9.10, Nov 11 2009, Wine -v 1.0.1, Gold rating

My result for Ubuntu 12.04 and Wine -v 1.5 (not released) was a gold, because
of its slow startup time that takes a while to load up.

Pirated software is not supported.

I never intended to, ask my teacher, I was following my teacher's course. This
has a clear word saying "For education purposes only".

Basically, we need this program badly because it is included in our curriculum,
but the problem was, this program cannot be found anywhere anymore. There is
nothing my teacher could do. Please bear me.

The bug may be valid but we cannot solve due to the circumstances, that is why
it is wontfix and not invalid.

Can't you reproduce the issue with the trial version from SWiSH MAx 3? I have
just downloaded it from http://www.swishzone.com/downloads/SetupSwishmax3.exe
and the site allowed me to get a trial license.
