--- Comment #2 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com --- Weird, I think the log was manually edited.
From Log:
api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.d._get_narrow_winmain_command_line
From bug 40905:
api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll._get_narrow_winmain_command_line

From your log:
Wine build: wine-1.9.15 Platform: i386 Version: Windows Server 2008 R2
You are still using the old version and for unknown reasons you set the version to Windows 2008.

I just tried to download latest from this link. I have not set 2008 anywhere. my winecfg is set to w10. http://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2015/12/install-wine-1-8-stable-new-ppa/
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41957
--- Comment #7 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com --- Your log 3 is identical to the second one. Please read the instructions at https://www.winehq.org/download/ in order to update your Wine correctly.
You may have been reusing an older wineprefix previously set to Windows Server 2008, you could try again in a clean prefix.

OK. i did try that link previously, but ofc i am still having this issue afterward. I tried it all again. Uninstalled the battle.net via PlayOnLinux and attempted a reinstall. I make to that screen that shows up after selecting the language which has the continue button and then the program crashes after the progress bar gets close to 100%. then nothing.

--- Comment #11 from winetest@luukku.com --- You need to upgrade the wine version from the gui. And need to set it into that prefix.
There is nothing to fix here, this bug is defnitely a dupe since you are failing to do a upgrade. And beside playonlinux bugs shouldnt be reported here at all.
There are already around 10 starcraft 2 and uplay bugs open. Most likely the game doesnt work at all no matter what you do.

--- Comment #12 from winetest@luukku.com --- Because of
Unhandled exception: unimplemented function api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.d._get_narrow_winmain_command_line called in 32-bit code (0x7b43fbe2).
this bug is a dupe of bug 40905. That's already fixed in wine...I don't know how to find exact version, but that bug was marked fixed at this summer.
Then you might hit bug 41227 which has no recent response. Or bug 41656. Which sounds very similar to the bug before.
Or you could end up with bug 41725. Unimplemented function api-ms-win-crt-math-l1-1-0.dll._except1
That bug seems to be still valid.
Then there is bug 41320. and this bug about audio 39576.
And few alt+tab bugs.
bug 35976 and bug 39164.
This is a huge mess already. And people keep opening new bugs about the same issues.

--- Comment #13 from getup180@live.com --- i get that it's difficult and this may not work at all, but i would like to try. I actually would like some instruction in changing from windows 8 to windows 10 or the right windows. The only place I see that it's running on windows 8 is in the logs. In the "Wine configuration for battle.net" gui it is set for w10. Is there somewhere else? This is a request from a newer ubuntu user as well as possible bug detection.

--- Comment #14 from getup180@live.com --- oh.. i missed that bit. I'll go to the playonlinux site. thanks for the help.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41957
--- Comment #15 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com --- You can also refer to the forums for help. To change the version of Windows that Wine will report to programs in a console type "wine winecfg".
If you are installing different Wine version through PlayOnLinux you can refer to their site for more help too.

We believe this bug is a duplicate, in order to ensure that since you are the affected user you should upgrade your wine version and test again. But if you can't do that there is no problem because theoretically the bug is a duplicate.

Your list of wine's should include wine 1.9.24 or wine 2.0.rc1.
You have to manually download the wines via the gui.
