With builtin, the game is unable to compile shaders and exits immediately (even
though it's a mostly 2D game with simple graphics.)

I just re-tested the game under Wine-Staging 4.3 and it starts up normally on
Linux Mint 19.1 with no winetricks required.

The bug had occurred initially under macOS and Wine-Staging 4.2, so I am not
sure if this is a macOS problem or Wine 4.2 problem. I will try testing the
game with Wine-Staging 4.3 on my Mac and report back.

Steam version fails on this effect source. There are multiple unimplemented
things in it.
