--- Comment #2 from David Needham mnmus@thirdworldcounty.us 2008-06-24 08:50:32 --- I suppose I am ignorant of what's considered a "major" bug. My mistake.
"Dmitry Timoshkov dmitry@codeweavers.com changed:

Apologies for reporting a major (next door to "essential") feature as non-functional as a "major" bug. I see no sound in a music transcription program is "normal". :-)
Still learning what WINE bug reporting terminology means. Thanks. I'll learn. *Off to look for an FAQ on bug severity terminology* :-)

--- Comment #4 from Luke Bratch l_bratch@yahoo.co.uk 2008-06-24 10:23:08 --- David, please post in Bugzilla instead of replying to wine-bugs. Email read:
"Not major? One of the chief benefits of Encore is its treatment of scores with full midi implementation, so that one scarcely ever need drop out into a sequencing program to tweak the sound and can often record firectly from Encore. W/out this, a very major portion of the software's capabilities is absent.
Not major? The contributor who assessed the fault as such is simply... wrong, IMO (and "MO" is based on 15 years using Encore and 45 years performing, recording and transcribing/notating music).
Just an observation.
DWN"
See James' link about what "Major" actually means though.

Notsomuch. /Now,/ it's more of a "when Ubuntu updates, sound (frequently) needs to be reconfigured"--not a WINE issue. Thanks!
