GUIMiner starts up fine but after entering the account data and trying to start
to mine, the program crashes.

You are using an old version of Wine. Upgrade and try again.

If the problem persists, try copying the .exe to ~/.wine/drive_c/ and running
from there.

I see the same crash from comment 0 in wine 1.4, in wine 1.9.12 it starts
mining fine and does not crash. The software is the same, last update was in
2012.
