Error in the installation wizard of the software Proteus 8.2. This error happen on the Wine 2.0 (stable) and 2.2 (develop). On the 1.8 (develop) version works fine.
Not a Staging bug then. The log also shows that you are not using Wine Staging.
Please provide full terminal output. Is the software available for testing somewhere?

Do you get the same crash with trial? It doesn`t crash here, but gives an errormessage/window instead.

Might be worth a try for you too:
After failing install I could find the msi-file in /home/louis/.wine/drive_c/users/louis/Application Data/Labcenter Electronics/Proteus 8 Demonstration/install_8.6.23525.0/setup_demo8.6.23525.0.msi
Then run like:
wine msiexec -i setup_demo8.6.23525.0.msi KEY_SERVER=test
--> The installation succeeds
