Don't do that. A) You should cd to the directory first. B) Are you running that
from a windows partition? Install it in wine, just as you would in a new
windows install and try again.

This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 8
months. Is this still an issue in current (1.1.40 or newer) wine?

Change to program install directory and start the app from there.
Also make sure you use _clean_ WINEPREFIX before install.

Anyway, I found some trial version downloads:

Installation went almost smooth, no showstoppers (installs .NET 1.1 on its own
which is supported by Wine).

After starting the app "fin.exe" or "finsql.exe", an error message pops up:

Google for it and it turns out a known problem (though MS states only with
vista).

Unfortunately a fix-patch-rollup-update-<insert_joke_here>-service-pack for
this garbage isn't publically available (you have to contact Microsoft
Partnersource - whatever that means) ...

Anyway ... the initial problem is most likely gone. Maxim can you retest with
your SP3 version and a recent Wine?
