------- Additional Comments From johnlumby@hotmail.com 2005-19-10 16:20 ------- In my original bug reported, I said that I had not tried installing quicktax from the CD - I had simply copied the files from the windows dir where it was originally installed. Today I did try installing it from the CD into a freshly-created .wine setup (with IE6 installed as described in the appdb).
The install went just fine (which surprised me!) but after that, running quicktax resulted in the same behaviour as in my previous posting here - i.e. the main panel was displayed but then the application froze. So - conclusion - installing from CD made no difference.
Hoping someone can advise how to debug this as it now looks like a definite maybe ...
