This bug pertains to version wine-0.9.59-124-g18828f4. When attempting to launch the Max Payne demo for the first time from its launcher window, the game fails to start with a dialog box that does not occur on Windows, then returns to the launcher screen. An attempt to relaunch the game will simply result in a C++ exception being thrown. Attached are outputs with d3d traces, glxinfo output, and a screenshot of the dialog box.

Works fine here in current git, nvidia fx 5200, 169.12 drivers. What video card/drivers?

I am currently using the Hardy alpha.

Intel cards/drivers don't support many features wine needs. If you have a second pc, can you test this on ATI or preferably nvidia and see if you still have an issue?
