The program no longer works as whenever a request is made to encode an audio
stream it's status remains as, "Pending".

Some Background. 8.13 introduced some instability where the program would just
freeze occasionally, again a java related error but could be worked around by
stopping and restarting the program.

Backtrace attached.

Due to the age of the program it may be preferable for me to compress my wine
prefix and make it available to you?

is the compressed wine prefix. As a number of new Wine versions have been
released since my initial post the problem persists though back trace reports
are no longer generated. Instead an occasional error: socket server failed to
start shows up which is itself an old error which was fixed some time ago.
