Terminal output in D3D9 mode in wine-1.1.23

Demo_Shadows.exe crashes under the following conditions:

1. Run the program
2. Select Texture shadows
3. Select Modulative
4. Select Material setup > Depth Shadowmap (PCF)

Selecting options in a different order does not cause the crash.

It happens in both D3D9 and OpenGL mode.

Confirmed. Freeze and backtrace, to be perfectly clear, so there is other
threads still running. Does it work on windows?

Finally tested this in Windows, and it doesn't work there either!  I guess this
in invalid?
